Artifact 3.1 Narrative: Communicates effectively in oral and written formats.
While in the Advanced Practices course, where we analyzed case studies, we were put into groups where we facilitated the case studies with the class. My partner and I were required to analyze the case study before the rest of the class, coming up with the best possible solutions for the problems at hand. The case study we were assigned was Jack Waterkamp. In this case Jack and his design team were being asked to meet a hard deadline with training software that was having major issues. They were trying to take a face-to-face program and developing an autonomous online program. Being in charge of the implementing this case study with our fellow colleagues required my partner and me to communicate with one another in order to stay connected and get the work done. We were also required to organize the case into its main components, working together in filling it in as we completed the case analysis. You will see this organization in the pre-work document. Communication was very important as we worked together to accomplish our analysis. I’ve had the opportunity while in the LDT program to collaborate with many people on projects. I have learned a lot about communicating within a distance and getting a project done. I look forward to more opportunities to work with others, in person or at a distance.
